Hold a Teachers
Empowerment
Conference
For you can all prophesy one by one, so that
all may learn and all may be exhorted. (I Cor. 14:31)
What to Do:
- Have a meeting with teachers and tell them that you propose to have a teachers only empowerment conference — using them as the presenters (Prov. 27:17).
- You could include some topics, such as: The Importance Of An Introduction, Storytelling, Teach With Heart, Knowing Your Student, What’s In A Question?, Teaching On A Child’s Level, The Discipline Of Study, Student Learning Styles, and others.
- Hold the conference on more than one day if you have many teachers.
- Choose the best teacher for a topic and give each one 15 minutes to make their presentation.
IDEA STARTER!
“Our church held a two-day teacher empowerment conference, entitled: “Commissioned to Teach”. All teachers had 15-minute assignments. A number of them had unique and powerful presentations. Each teacher was given a sub-topic related to their teaching ability. This was very helpful because even though everyone had the ability to teach, we were empowered by getting information about the teaching abilities and strengths of other teachers.”
