Play a game of Bible word pronunciation at www.howtopronounce.com
- Display a word on a board or screen.
- Ask the class to pronounce the word.
- Type in the word on the website’s search box.
- Put a microphone near your device (so everyone can hear).
- Click the “Pronounce” icon.
- Click on your word under the words “Pronounce in English”.
- Click the speaker icon to hear the word pronounced.
- Have fun!
Peace on Earth: It’s Coming!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord…Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
(Luke 2:11-14)
Today we celebrate the birth of our Saviour who is also the Prince of Peace. Peace is often something that is merely hoped for, or anticipated, by millions of unrestful souls around the world. At present, true peace reigns in the hearts of only a vast few in comparison to the masses who perpetuate hate and violence, or to those who have very little concern for goodwill toward men. From the very first murder of Abel at the hands of his brother Cain; the world is climaxing into a frenzy of violent acts against humanity. As a result…we often wish peace upon individuals and families this time of year, but in the midst of unstable and perilous surroundings. But peace is coming! It will be a time when…the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them [the child will lead even the wildest of beasts] (Isaiah 11:6).
Very soon, nations who have governed with violence will be separated by the great Prince of Peace, who will eventually cast them from the earth, to make room for His peaceful reign. He will rule remaining nations and people with a rod of iron, bringing peace to all the world! Praise God, that day is approaching! Jesus Christ will come! Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this (Isaiah 9:7). Get ready, all the meek of the earth and all who truly seek peace and equity! Your blessing is great: The meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Ps. 37:11) There is a day coming when God’s will will be done on earth as it is in heaven: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men! (Lk. 2:14)
Offer A Well Needed Session: “Don’t Play With Anger”

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY ABOUT ANGER. How about offering a unique discussion with a number of panelists. Give each panelist 5 minutes to speak on some topic from the subject anger. Save some time for good Q&A. Allow panelists to pray for members at the end of the session.
Some topics could be:
- Be Angry But Don’t Sin
- Have A Knowledge of Anger
- Avoiding Domestic and Family Anger
- Anger Affects the Body
- Overcoming Anger

Children Love a VBS
Graduation Ceremony!
Permit the children to come to Me;
do not hinder them…. (Mark 10:14)
What to Do:
- Go online and search for “Children’s graduation caps”. (Some are as low as 3.99 each.) Be sure to order a sample cap prior to your ceremony, to determine the quality.
- Appoint someone from your membership, such as a school principal, to advise or help with the ceremony.
- Create simple invitations and have children invite parents and other family members (Mark 10:13-16).
- Ask a church volunteer, who is familiar with graphic design, to create children’s certificates from software templates.
- Call names and present certificates as you would during any graduation. Have cake and punch after the ceremony!
IDEA STARTER!
“Our Vacation Bible School administrators wanted to offer a graduation for the children who participated in our weekday VBS activities. The program was called “Teach The Children.” Some children made presentations and there were encouraging comments from teachers. One of the most exciting times of this event was to see the children in the background preparing, scurrying, and putting on their caps. They were so excited! This was “their graduation” and many proud parents showed up for the ceremony!”
